每次路過都覺得這個廣告招牌很帶種。
想必當初構思的人必有涉獵文學(使用鳥的隱喻)、博通廣告學(曉得一圖勝千言的行銷效果)、並深諳心理學(了解男性ego),同時有國際觀(有英文翻譯),才會創造出如此大膽不怕臉紅、雄糾糾氣昂昂的廣告招牌。
(看英文更有趣,"the biggest of birds"-鳥類裡最大的那些,十分有多元性與尊重感!)
如果我是新聞記者,我一定會很想訪問老闆的製作動機,但可惜我只是一名路人,我只想跟老闆要一份客戶名單。
This is one of the coolest, or "the most masculine" signboards I have ever seen.
It is a creative combination of a metaphor, an advertising strategy, and a bit phychological manipulation. (Also notice the complementary phrase of 'the biggest of birds')
If I were a jounalist, I would like to interview with the shop owner to get to know what inspired him. But I am only a girl. I only want to request a full client list...

沒文化的文化藝廊 Whose culture gallery?

照片攝於號稱「設計非常良好」的關西休息站。
指標上的「文化走廊」配了個小小的蒙娜麗莎圖象。當然誰都知道這裡不可能有這幅名畫,也好像誰都可以心領神會這只是一個表象性質的icon設計。然而這小圖卻十分醒目(相對於看牌上其他大部份單色的icon),於是我忍不住多看了兩眼,然後看著看著就有些生氣起來,覺得設計這個假蒙娜麗莎icon的人既狡滑又媚俗,他/她該不會一度不要臉地為了自己把蒙娜麗莎畫作裡的背景(那個山)也加進來而一度得意吧!?
首先,這icon是百分之百的「欺騙」,擺明了是睜眼說瞎話,這是十足的狡猾。再來,想到「文化藝廊」就想到「蒙娜麗莎」,這是千分千的沒有品味。坐擁故宮六十餘萬件文物精品的我們居然需要借一幅西洋名畫來表述「文化藝廊」的概念, 好像我們的翠玉白菜、乾隆皇、汝窯和古字畫都不夠「文化」。設計者對「文化藝廊」一詞的具象投射如此粗濫,稱他/她媚俗我想是當之無愧。
不用走進那「文化藝廊」,我就可以看見我們虛弱的文化一欄。
